How It All Began

The ministry started in 2021 under the leadership of Emmanuel King who had personally struggled with alcohol and drugs for more than 13 years. After recognizing the need and seeing that there were people around him who were struggling with the very things he had formerly battled, he started reaching out to communities to address the challenges of addictions. Since then, the program has continued to grow into Residential and Non-Residential programs through which people are helped and transformed to overcome addictions and life-controlling issues.

KWRC has been able to empower and help several men from the streets through different partnerships and we have watched them transform into responsible individuals. We continue to help individuals out of their life-controlling problems, giving emotional and intellectual support to communities and families from which these people come. We are committed to transformation development achieved through advocacy, spiritual development, rights advancement, economic empowerment, and community-based interventions targeting individuals with addictions and life-controlling problems.

As an organization, we will continue to grow and widen our reach in empowering leaders across the nation. With God’s help, we will continue reaching out to as many people as possible, supporting communities and enabling recovery through our programs.

To empower individuals on their journey to recovery, promoting holistic healing and fostering resilience through a Christ-centered approach.

A generation that is free of addiction and life-controlling issues.

Our Comprehensive Approach To Recovery

We are a faith-based, one-year, residential discipleship program with the purpose to restore hope to those who suffer from addictions as well as life-controlling issues. We help people to become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.

Recovery – Recovery describes the journey we make between being lost and being found, from darkness to light, from broken to in-repair.

Reconciliation – By focusing first on their relationship with Christ, students have a model for forgiveness and repair. Relationships are restored, and hope for the future is restored.

Transformation – Rebuilding our students’ identities on the foundation of Jesus Christ allows for ongoing transformation and lifelong growth.
